Carlos Romero has been repairing bows for me for the past several years and I would not dream of going anywhere else.  His attention to detail and quality of work is of the highest caliber.  Whether repairing school bows or my own Thomas Dignan custom bass bow, I have utmost faith that the quality of the work will be outstanding.  My daughter is a cellist in NY and plans her trips to Newport around her visits to Carlos' shop.

I'm a bassist, who uses his bow for jazz & classical gigs.
I recommend Carlos' work - he does an expert job & he's reliable.

Carlos Romero, through his expertise and intuition, keeps my temperamental French bow straight and playing like a racehorse.  His experience and integrity are unsurpassed. I recommend him to all my colleagues and students for any bow-related work, from rehair to repair.

Carlos attended my bow making school at the Victoria Conservatory of   Music, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada over a period of three   years. Here he honed his skills as a technician and demonstrated   extraordinary talent in the field of restoration.
He   also learned the difficult art of bow making as a hand craft and has   shown a fervent passion for that type of work.
I   know that he also took courses at the Banff Centre with William   Salchow, the father of bow making in North America.
He   has constantly sought to perfect his skills in this field and has a   reputation of performing incredible numbers of bow rehair in a   single year, which is known to exceed 1200.

Carlos,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the fine job you did rehairing and attending to my Hill bow.  Your work is meticulous!   You will definitely be seeing my bows in the future and I will be recommending you to my students and piers.
Thanks again,
Ronnie Feinberg

Carlos Romero   has repaired several bows for the Brown University Orchestra. He   completed the work excellently and promptly, and charged a very   reasonable fee. On the basis of the work he has done for us, I am   glad to recommend Carlos Romero as an expert in bow repair.

MY NAME IS E.C. HARRIS FROM ROSSVILLE, TN.
Here I am admiring the bows that I sent to Carlos Romero to be restored. He really is a genius when it comes the knowing what to do and how to do it on any type of bows, I hardly recognized the bows after he finished them. I am not a professional fiddle player however, I have been involved in blue grass and country music for the [past 70 years and recognize high quality work when I see it.
I highly recommend Carlos on any type of bow.

I have been bringing my Emil A. Ouchard and Guillaume a Bruxelles violin bows to Carlos since I moved to the East Coast four years ago.  His attention to detail and level of craftsmanship are unparalleled.  I recommend his work to my clients on a regular basis, as it is rare to find someone so talented to work on bows of this calibre.
